Where Do They Come From?

Best Solutions For Cleaning Toilet Rings

The reason our team listed this solution first is that most homeowners have both baking soda and vinegar somewhere around the house. Separate from each other, they are nothing more than common household staples. However, when you combine baking soda and vinegar; an extremely strong cleaning solution is formed. Here are our simple steps to treating your toilet bowl with baking soda and vinegar:

  1. Pour some white vinegar in the toilet bowl. Scrub with toilet brush. Let sit for a 5 – 10 minutes.
  2. Pour 1 – 2 Cups of baking soda into the toilet bowl. Let sit for another 5 – 10 minutes while the solution bubbles and fizzes. Scrub around the entirety of the toilet bowl with toilet brush.
  3. Let the solution sit for 30 – 45 minutes. Periodically come back and scrub around the toilet brush every 10 minutes.
  4. Flush the toilet and hopefully your pesky toilet ring should be alleviated.

The reason our team listed this solution second is because Borax is less likely to just be sitting around someones house than baking soda. It is a strong cleaning product that can be found in most home stores such as Walmart, The Home Depot or Lowe’s. It can definitely be considered a step-up from baking soda in regards toilet stain removal. To attempt to remove the toilet rings or stains with Borax and baking soda follow these steps:

  1. Pour at least 1/4 cup of Borax into the toilet bowl. Scrub with toilet brush.
  2. Pour 1 – 2 cups of vinegar into the toilet bowl. Scrub around the entirety of the toilet bowl with toilet brush.
  3. Let the solution sit for around 30 minutes. Periodically come back and scrub around the toilet brush every 10 minutes.
  4. Give one final good scrub. Flush the toilet and hopefully your pesky toilet ring or stains should be alleviated.

Before we say anything about how to get rid of toilet rings with bleach, we need to seriously stress to NEVER MIX BLEACH WITH ANY OTHER CLEANING PRODUCT OR SUBSTANCE. IT IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS AND SERIOUSLY INJURS MANY PEOPLE EVERY YEAR. Now that we have emphasized not to mix bleach with anything, follow these steps to try and remove your toilet ring or stains with bleach:

  1. If you have been following this guide and using any other chemicals or substances in the toilet. Please flush the toilet more than once to make sure there is nothing but water in the toilet.
  2. Pour 1 – 2 cups of bleach into the toilet and let it sit for a half hour.
  3. Give one final good scrub. Flush the toilet and hopefully your pesky toilet ring or stains should be alleviated.
